The ambiance is peaceful, making it the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a cup of matcha or sencha. Pair your tea with some wagashi (Japanese sweets) for an authentic experience. Make sure you order their Hojicha, it was divine!

End your day with a visit to 毛糸・手芸・ソーイングの店 山久 (小売部), a delightful craft store. Whether you’re into knitting, sewing, or other crafts, this store has a wide range of supplies to inspire your creativity. It’s a great place to pick up some unique materials and perhaps start a new project as a memento of your trip. I am a crocheter, so I had to buy a new hook from this store. The pricing is very cheap for an Etimo hook!

How to go to Kawagoe

From Tokyo Station, take the JY (Yamanote Line) to Ikebukuro Station, then make a transfer to Ikebukuro Station (Tobu-Tojo Line). Alight at Kawagoe Station.
